42-Hour CE Package for late license renewal – $300
This package contains all 42 hours of continuing education needed to renew a license which has lapsed for too long. If you are more than 30 days late in renewing your license, contact the Utah Division of Real Estate to verify how many hours you need. If they have required 42 hours, this is the least expensive way to complete those hours.
Each class is online for your convenience. These classes can be done any time of the day, night, weekends or holidays. They can be done in portions – you don’t have to finish a class in one sitting. You can easily return to a class at another time or on another day and pick up where you left off.
At the end of each class, you’ll see two one-page forms. Email these forms to us as you finish each class. Your online attendance will then be verified and banked promptly. We bank completed CE classes many times each day; however, it may take 1 – 5 days for the banking site to transfer them to your Division transcript, which is beyond a school’s control. We will notify you via email with your CE certificates upon posting each class, so you can be assured they are banked.
Be careful not to exceed eight credit hours per day, which is the maximum allowable education hours a licensee can be given credit for in one day. Therefore, it will take a minimum of six days in which to complete 42 hours.
Better Business Bureau Accreditation
In March, 2011, Utah Real Estate School, TLG was proud to receive Better Business Bureau accreditation.
18-hour License Renewal CE Package – $150
This package consists of 18 total hours of online CE, of which more than 9 of those hours are designated as CORE – this gives you all the required CE to renew your license at a savings of $30 over ala carte pricing. The course includes 9 two-hour modules on topics such as RESPA/HUD-1, Utah Licensing Law, the REPC, Forms, and the New Construction REPC.
These online courses allow you to spend whatever time you have, then return to the course later – you do not have to complete the entire course in one sitting. That’s the convenience of online – spend 2o minutes here and 30 minutes there, any time of the day or night. However, watch your clock - course providers cannot give credit for more than eight hours per day, so this 18-hour package will take a minimum of three days, although you can complete the course over a longer period of time; whatever works best for your schedule. Another feature of our courses as opposed to other online providers is the ability to move forward and backward within the units of the course as you desire – you’re not locked into a specific amount of time on each slide before you can advance, as long as you spend the required minimum amount of time in the class.
When you enroll in this package between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm, you will receive two emails within the hour, the first will be a receipt to save for tax purposes and the second email will give you instructions along with your user name and password. Those enrolling after 10 pm may have to wait until early morning for their user name and password, although our staff sometimes responds after hours.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you originally licensed after July 1, 2007 and have not taken the 12-hour New Agent Course, this package does not include that required course, please select the 12-hour New Agent Course and the six-hour renewal package to acquire your required CE. If you licensed after July 2007 and have previously renewed your license in active status, you have taken the 12-hour New Agent Course and therefore this renewal package will serve your needs. If you licensed before July 2007, you are not required to take the 12-hour New Agent Course and this 18-hour Renewal Package meets all course requirements for you to renew your license.
6-Hour CORE CE Package ONLINE – $55
Enrollment in this 6-hour CORE CE package will allow you to save money by grouping two of our 3-hour CORE CE classes together which include 1) Mortgage Fraud and How to Avoid It and 2) Lien Laws, normally $60 if purchased separately, but take both these courses together for just $55. This package fulfills six of the 18 hours required for agent and broker license renewal.
Short Sales ONLINE – $20
This 2- hour CORE CE class helps agents understand the special circumstances surrounding the marketing and negotiation of short sales, including some tips to help manage the emotions of your clients while handling short sale transactions. These types of transactions are complicated, but currently commonplace; those licensees working in today’s marketplace must have a thorough understanding of what should more aptly be referred to as “long” sales.
Lien Laws ONLINE – $30
This online 3-hour CORE CE class helps the agent or broker learn more about Utah lien laws, which are so important for real estate practitioners to understand in order to help their clients navigate this age of short sales and foreclosures. Also covered in this course is a description of the State Construction Registry and how this system affects mechanic’s liens in the state of Utah. Course Number RC100815.
Buyers and Sellers ONLINE – $15
This one-hour CORE CE class takes you back to the simplest, yet most important, aspects of success in real estate sales: where to find buyers and sellers and what do to with them once you’ve got them. Accessing buyer’s and seller’s needs and being able to properly service those needs is a skill every real estate agent must develop, yet often wasn’t taught in the pre-licensing classes when acquiring a license. Come back to this Real Estate 101 class; perhaps you’ll learn some new fundamentals to help you increase your clientele. Course Number RC10909.
RESPA/HUD-1 Course One ONLINE – $20
The Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act is a federal law governing residential real estate transactions in which a buyer is borrowing money to purchase the property. These types of transactions require the lender to provide the buyer with a good faith estimate of anticipated settlement costs and use a HUD-1 Settlement Statement to settle the transaction displaying actual costs, which must be within a range of the originally disclosed amounts. Timing deadlines may require the closing of a transaction be delayed. Learn about the impact of this federal law on your client’s transactions in this two-hour CORE CE course. Course Number RC100161.
